As a General Manager, you are required to enable and drive Lucy Middle East to deliver significant regional growth in electrical and digital infrastructure projects and opportunities. You will be front and centre of the business, setting the right culture, generating enthusiasm from your team, and challenging current wisdom. Your objective is to set the vision, strategy, and leadership to enable LME to meet the demands for profitable growth. You will inspire employees and act as a role model for the sorts of behaviours required to embed change, striking the right balance between short-term improvement and long-term value.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Owner and responsible for P& L for LME assigned territories - Measure by achievement against budget & targets.

Commercial

  • Create, formulate and follow dedicated and focused business plans for existing, emerging and new markets in the territory and develop and execute these in line with 5 year MTP.
  • Actively develop, manage, and measure performance of senior management and sales teams and other back-office functions via KPls in line with overall business plans and strategy.
  • Identify and develop new markets for Lucy products and services
  • Identify new partnering possibilities for Lucy products, including maximizing package/mini substation opportunities for the market and export from.
  • To be the Company regulatory authority in Dubai and the UAE and to be responsible for legal, financial and management activities and to ensure compliance standards are met.
  • Actively identify, develop, and manage partners, agents, and distributors in the Region.
  • Work with the sales teams in other regions as senior point of, contact for tendering reviews, support, and actively manage the coordination of sales activity across the global business.
  • Drive new product development for and on behalf of the global business and co-ordinate activity with all marketing and engineering functions based in the UK.
  • Represent the LME sales function globally for reviews and strategy for automation and service project business.
  • Manage marketing Budgets and establish plans for exhibitions, shows and events in the territory in conjunction with Global marketing team.
  • Identify products available with other companies and recommend possible license or acquisition targets for the group.
  • Actively contribute to the direction of the business as a member of the global Senior Management team.

  • Constant review and update of sales plans and ensuring high quality.

  • Seek and develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Develop and cultivate professional relationships with all clients
  • Oversee and execute the successful management of the entire business development process lead generation, credentials pitch, evaluation, account management, follow up, develop proposals, negotiation, and closing agreements.
  • Self-manage large strategic accounts and work towards the development of partnerships, qualification of business opportunities, and long-term growth plans for the company’s business
  • Design and implement best practice services for the rollout of the operation
  • Ensure all schedules and budgets are examined in terms of their feasibility for execution.
  • Project Tracking and Reporting
  • Defining SLAs for the business
  • Good knowledge of quality standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
  • Adhere to the company QHSE policy at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or other relevant qualification in Business or Marketing
  • MBA or other equivalent leadership qualification
  • 15+ years’ experience in the contracting Industry
  • A well round experience leaders with prior experience in a CEO/General Management role
  • Fluent in English and Arabic, spoken and written.
  • Extensive experience in a senior commercial or elling role in the Middle East
