Description:

We are looking for an exceptional General Manager of Facilities to create a comfortable, safe, secure and welcoming environment across Croydon Health Services.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in an ambitious Trust. As such, we are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record of overseeing Facilities Management in large and complex organisations. The successful candidate will have a deep commitment to integration, with a clear understanding of how to navigate new ways of working, and a resolute focus on delivery to help shape the future of the Facilities Management directorate for Croydon Health Services. The ideal candidate will be a true leader who can engage with key individuals at all levels of an organisation and possess the communication skills to influence and win trust through a values-driven approach.
We strongly encourage applications from all sections of the community, particularly from under-represented groups, including disabled people and members of our black, Asian and minority ethnic communities to improve the diversity of experience within our senior leadership team.
As part of the Estates & Facilities Senior Management Team, the GM of Facilities will provide effective management, strategic leadership and direction to the range of Facilities services. You would be the senior lead on all Facilities operational activity within the department and assist the Director of Estates & Facilities in the development and delivery of strategies for the range of services. The incumbent will also be responsible for effectively managing contracted-out services to ensure they meet agreed standards, provide high quality delivery and value for money against key performance targets
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust holds a special place in the heart of our community and it is a role that we take incredibly seriously. We have ambitious plans to continue our journey to transform our care and services for people in our borough and support our staff in the roles they fulfil. We are a forerunner for how the NHS is changing. Our One Croydon Alliance is a trailblazer in integration so that our services work together across health, care and the voluntary sector so we can provide the best possible, holistic care to one of London’s largest boroughs. As we evolve, our estate will need to be both an enabler and driver for change, supporting the delivery of our current and future strategic objectives. To do this, we will need to make the right investment decisions and ensure efficient, effective, customer-focused services are delivered. Against this backdrop, there is no better time to join us.
