Production employees are the backbone of our mills. Our Production employees make sure we produce products safely and efficiently, creating the materials that build homes and dreams. No experience? We can start you in an entry level role where we provide all the training you need to succeed.
We’re looking for a General Production Technician to join our EcoLogo-certified facility located in Armstrong, British Columbia. Our Armstrong Plywood Division safely and sustainably produces 195 million square feet of plywood every year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to working safely.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts, including evenings and graveyards.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift or loader is an asset.

In this role you will:

  • Work independently as part of a high-performance team dedicated safely and efficiently producing lumber products.
  • Perform a variety of labour duties to increase productivity and reduce safety risks.
  • Identify, analyse and troubleshoot any problems that might arise in your area, and communicate with your Team Lead and Maintenance teams to get things back on track.
  • Work a rotating 8-hour shift schedule, which gives you flexibility to spend extra time with your family on days off.
