We’re looking for a General Production Employee to join our White Valley Division located in Lumby, British Columbia. White Valley produces the veneer used at our Armstrong Plywood facility. White Valley safely and sustainably produces 225,000 million square feet of veneer every year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Commitment to working safely.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, in a physically demanding industrial environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Previous experience in a forest products environment considered an asset.

In this role you will:

  • Work collaboratively across your team to safely and efficiently produce veneer.
  • Perform a variety of labour duties to increase productivity and reduce safety risks.
  • Identify, analyze and troubleshoot problems that might arise in your area, and communicate with your Team Lead and Maintenance teams to get things back on track.
  • Use your strong communication skills to work collaboratively across your team.
