This position will be responsible for assisting with the overall performance of the New and Pre-Owned Sales Department operations, ensuring that the departments meet the necessary objectives while creating and implementing action plans. The Candidate will be required to run an efficient and profitable Sales Department, through productive staffing, customer retention and achievement of objectives, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of Automotive Management experience required.
Capability to communicate verbally and in writing with various levels of internal and external customers.
Must be organized and extremely detail oriented.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
Possess negotiation expertise and demonstrate ability to close sales.
Must be self-motivated and able to achieve goals with limited direct supervision.
Have the ability to work in a team environment with various types of personalities.
Exhibit a clean and professional appearance.
Flexible work schedule including weekend shifts.
Responsibilities:
Establish monthly and annual sales objectives for units, gross profit and expenses.
Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
Review market analysis and sales reports.
Keep abreast of vehicle inventory.
Administer and monitor factory-sponsored programs.
Merchandises and promotes vehicle inventory.
Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of the sales staff.
Facilitate Salesperson staffing and training as required by manufacturer and/or dealership.
Monitor Sales staff productivity and performance.
Assist guests as needed by the sales staff.
Ensures internal and external guests receive a high quality of service with professionalism and respect.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, demonstrated by meeting manufacturer and dealership specified standards.
Handle guest concerns promptly according to dealership guidelines and escalate concerns when necessary.
Other duties as assigned by corporate management.
