We are looking for teaching assistants to work in a school in a day-to-day and long-term position in Darwen for KS 1 and KS 2 Classes. Ideally, we would require the candidate to have classroom experience and must be flexible with the work hours.

  • Provision of two recent professional references, a vital requirement for consideration.
  • Experience working with young people
  • Class management skills
  • Comfortable managing challenging behaviour
  • Able to engage with and motivate children

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring pupils stay on task by managing disruptive behaviour
  • Providing support to children on a 1 to 1 basis or in a group setting
  • Safeguarding children
  • Assisting the teacher in planning engaging lessons for the class in line with school policies
  • Liaising with the class teacher and other support staff to provide the best support
