Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking an ideal candidate with the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Marine, Electromechanical, or Machines engineering
  • Demonstrated experience of 2-3 years in product development, preferably in the realm of drive technology
  • Proficiency in navigating a global project organization
  • English language proficiency, both spoken and written. Proficiency in German is beneficial
  • Familiarity with six-sigma/system engineering tools, such as DFMEA
  • Previous work experience within a global matrix organization or the wind industry is beneficial

Responsibilities:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development and upkeep of new generator submodules, adhering to Vestas’ project frameworks, processes, and stage gate models. Collaborating closely with project managers, technical experts, and members of the value chain, you will have an important role in promoting innovation and quality in our products.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting detailed product design and implementing design for manufacturing principles for generators
  • Coordinating the construction of demonstrators and prototypes in collaboration with the value chain
  • Identifying and executing corrections and enhancements during the prototype build phase
  • Providing daily technical support to internal manufacturing operations (including Quality, Production Engineering, and Global Procurement), as well as external partners
  • Planning and organizing your tasks using JIRA
  • Participating actively in cross-functional commodity teams to promote continuous improvement and innovation
  • Maintaining constructive engagement with partners at every stage of the value chain, aiming for the smooth execution of projects
