Position : Generic Sales and Product Service Manager
Location : Hungary
Duties And Responsibilities:

Leading and developing the team of Field Sales Engineers

  • Agreeing, providing follow-up and measuring of achievement of individual targets for employees (incl. sales budgets on product group and customer level) based on WSC targets and own targets of the Sales Area Manager
  • Evaluating competences of employees
  • Coaching and supporting of employees in order to develop their competences and assure their professional grwoth and development
  • Team building and motivation
  • Providing constant flow of relevant business information from the management to the team and collecting releveant feed-back
  • Introducing new employees into the team

Sales Strategy and Tactics

  • Develop measures to implement Walter sales strategy in area of responsibility providing highest sales growth
  • Desiding about most efficient combination of direct and distribution channels in the area
  • Responsibility for strategic development of defined projects
  • Implementation of defined marketing and sales strategy in the area
  • Market intelligence regarding competitor´s marketing, sales activities and trend
  • Generate ideas for growing sales and sharing them with company management
  • Inspire and secure constant search for new customers in the area (both for distribution and direct sales channel)

Monitoring of sales activities

  • Constant evaluating and improving of efficiency and quality of daily and weekly planning of FSEs, as well as of execution of the plans and reporting
  • Constant follow-up of efficiency of use of Walter sales tools (such as focus customers planning)
  • Constant follow-up of sales figures and payment situation in the area and taking actions in case of deviations

Customer contact (in person, by telephone, by e-mail)

  • Acting as „door-opener” for strategically important new customers
  • Supporting of Field Sales Engineers in critical negotiations

Distribution partners contact

  • Being direct contact for distribution partners of Walter for commercial questions
  • Implementing Walter Distribution Manual and assuring that we act accordingly
  • Making proposals to company management about improving of the Manual
  • Looking for new distribution partners where appropriate
  • Assure constant development of technical knowledge about Walter products at distributors and assuring their commitment to Walter brand

Other

  • Visiting trade fairs and exhibitions
  • Participating in internal and external training sessions and conferences
  • Participating in and helping organise sales meetings

Desired Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent theoretical and practical experience
  • Practical sales experience in metal cutting (turning, milling, drilling and threading)
  • Management experience in the mechanical industry
  • Strong character and management skills to motivate and lead subordinate team
  • Motivation and desire to solve problems and improve existing solutions
  • Safe and independent working style combined with team spirit
  • Mobility for induction and training programs
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • English language, to communicate both in writing and speaking
