EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field required.
EXPERIENCE
- Requires a minimum of 3 years sales experience in Life Science or combined lab experience with 3 years of sales in another industry, capital equipment experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of qPCR, Sanger sequencing, and/or microarray
- Selling experience in academic, industrial, and federal government accounts
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Scientific consulting competence - Demonstrates technical credibility to collaborate with customers on technology solutions.
- Capital sales competence – Demonstrates funnel management skills with strong hunting/prospecting and closing skills.
- Business acuity – Dedication to meticulous territory planning, market knowledge, both accurate and timely forecasting. Develops and leads a business plan to meet or exceed business goals agreed upon by commercial management for the territory.
- Understands scientific project and business needs of the customer to position a Genetic Analysis solution (qPCR and/or Digital PCR and/or sequencing and/or microarray) to win the business. Actively promotes and sells consumables.
- Manages sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking using Salesforce system and other designated IT tools.
- Position may require Covid-19 vaccination and/or routine testing, per client discretion.
