QUALIFICATIONS:

? Degree in geological or geotechnical engineering from a recognized university
? Strong technical, communication and problem-solving skills
? Able to work independently and with others
? Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
? Willingness to travel domestically to various sites and to remote locations
? Typical rotations are 14 days on / 7 days off

We are looking to hire a Junior Field Geologist/Geotechnicians to assist with both ongoing and short-term contract positions at various mine sites in Nevada. This position offers the opportunity for professional growth and skill development in:
? Geotechnical core logging (core recovery, RQD, strength, fracture identification)
? Geology quicklogs (lithology, formation, rock or soil type)
? Soils core logging (identification of sands, silt, clay component, density, particle size and shape)
? Point load (strength) testing of rock
? Sample collection and packaging
? Core photography
? Instrumentation installation (i.e., piezometers, TDR)
