Geotechnical Engineer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Geotechnical Engineer with a desire to work on major infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community. In this role you will plan, design, supervise, and monitor the geotechnical works in mega infrastructure projects.

The roles of the position include ( but not limited to) the following:

• Review and comment on the factual reports submitted by various developer’s consultants/contractors.
• Production of geotechnical interpretative reports
• Review of Ground improvement and geotechnical hazards mitigation analysis.
• Production of geotechnical specifications.
• Procurement of site investigation contractors.
• Design Slope stabilization and side support systems.
• Evaluate the effect of proposed support system on the existing and future infrastructures e.g. utilities, roadways, and buildings adjacent to the plots and provide recommendation to the Client.
• Provide geotechnical input in (multidisciplinary) proposals
• Site inspection during construction as needed
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU’LL BRING:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
• Minimum 10 years experience in geotechnical works of infrastructure projects including bridges, railroads, roads, airports, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines and tunnels
• Perfect working knowledge of , Plaxis 2D & 3D, Wallap, GGU, Slope, Settle 3D, Ensoft Package, GEO 5, Geo Studio and other geotechnical software applications.
