JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Le/la gestionnaire de commodité est responsable de la stratégie d’approvisionnement de biens et services dans le cadre de projets de réalisation de groupes turbine-alternateurs de projets hydroélectriques. La commodité sous gestion sera celle des biens catalogues, consommables, ainsi que les fabrications légères.
The Regional Commodity Manager is responsible for the strategy for the procurement of goods and services within the framework of projects for the realization of turbine-generator groups of hydroelectric projects. The commodity under management will be catalogue parts, consumables, and light fabricated parts.

COMPÉTENCES - QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES - QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Baccalauréat en administration des affaires, ingénierie ou tout domaine pertinent avec 5 ans d’expérience en achats stratégiques et gestion de commodité ou bien tout autre combinaison de compétences et d’expérience acceptable pour le poste visé;
• Une expérience de longue date dans une entreprise de distribution de produits industriels pourrait être considérée faute de détenir un baccalauréat;
• Bonne connaissance commerciale et maîtrise des techniques de négociation;
• Excellente capacité à communiquer et négocier tant en anglais qu’en français;
• Vous devez accepter de vous soumettre à une vérification préalable à l’emploi, y compris, mais sans s’y limite, à une vérification des références et des antécédents;
• Vous devez posséder le droit sans restriction de travailler au Canada.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or any relevant field with 7 years of experience in strategic purchasing and commodity management;
• Knowledge of products in power generation/rotating machines industry;
• Electrical domain expertise and knowledge will be considered an important asset;
• Good commercial knowledge and mastery of negotiation techniques;
• Excellent ability to communicate and negotiate in both English and French;
• You must agree to submit to a pre-employment screening, including, but not limited to, a reference and background check;
• You must have the unrestricted right to work in Canada.

• Analyser les besoins en approvisionnement de consommables, outillage, quincaillerie, produits chimiques, composantes électriques et mécaniques, instrumentations, valves, filtres, tuyauterie, conduits électriques et toutes autres composantes requises pour la bonne exécution des projets;
• Élaborer des stratégies d’approvisionnement conformes aux politiques d’approvisionnement, répondant aux besoins des chantiers de constructions desservis au Canada et aux États-Unis tout en générant des réductions de coûts;
• Mener à terme la signature d’ententes cadres et listes de prix (identification de sources potentielles, élaboration d’appel d’offres, analyse, sélection, qualification des fournisseurs, négociation des contrats);
• Administrer et actualiser les ententes cadres et listes de prix; assurer le respect de celles-ci et intervenir lors de déviation; planifier et négocier les renouvellements des ententes à échéance;
• Identifier et qualifier les nouveaux fournisseurs pour développer et entretenir un panel de fournisseurs nord-américain;
• Suivre la performance des fournisseurs, évaluer les risques et opportunités liés à la chaîne d’approvisionnement (Qualité, OTD) et développer des plans de mitigation;
• Diriger la négociation de réclamations au fournisseur.

• Analyze the equipment acquisition needs of the company’s projects. Prepare purchase forecasts taking into account all projects to be carried out and current offers;
• Develop sourcing strategies consistent with overall sourcing policies, meeting customer needs while generating cost reductions;
• Deploy the purchasing strategy for its convenience in close collaboration with other relevant departments such as, sales, engineering, quality, etc;
• Identify and achieve the business and cost reduction objectives set for the year. Generate and coordinate cost reduction ideas and optimization actions both at the offer and implementation stages;
• Complete the signing of framework agreements and price lists (identification of potential sources, development of calls for tenders, analysis, selection, qualification of suppliers, negotiation of contracts);
• Administer and update framework agreements and price lists; ensure that they are respected and intervene in the event of a deviation; plan and negotiate renewals of expiring agreements;
• Identify and qualify new suppliers to develop and maintain a panel of North American suppliers;
• Support the sourcing proposal coordinator in the preparation of offers (ITO); propose a competitive industrial plan and validate the relevance and accuracy of the costing of the offer before it is submitted;
• Guide and support the purchasing specialist (buyer) in the application of the commodity-in-execution (OTO) strategy: analysis of bids, selection of suppliers and negotiation of orders;
• Monitor supplier performance, assess risks and opportunities linked to the supply chain (Quality, OTD) and develop mitigation plans;
• Lead the negotiation of supplier claims.
