Description:
Join our Burnaby government client as a Contract Analyst, where you’ll play a vital role supporting Water Services and Liquid Waste Services departments. QUALIFICATIONS
The position requires the following technical qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience working with Geospatial technologies with emphasis on analyzing and editing spatial data in an enterprise GIS environment
- Advanced working knowledge in the use of ESRI ArcGIS 10.8 + suite of products including ArcGIS Pro 2.8+ which may include server, desktop, web and mobile products
- Ability to read and extract information from engineering drawings
- Knowledge and experience using advanced analytical GIS tools for preparing linear data for complex application use
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proven GIS analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to quickly learn new concepts/processes
- Proven ability to establish priorities and strong attention to detail.
- Adaptable, flexible and comfortable working in a government organization.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the GIS team and client stakeholders to support GIS technology utilized by staff across various departments.
- Execute spatial data editing tasks, including spatial alignment and gap analysis for feature classes, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.
- Review original CAD drawings and integrate updated information into existing spatial data, leveraging additional base data such as parcel information and ortho-imagery.
- Test and troubleshoot spatial analytical errors and functionality issues related to data, ensuring seamless integration with GIS applications.
- Conduct attribute gap analysis and employ advanced analytical GIS tools to prepare linear data for complex application use, filling data gaps as necessary.
- Work with existing and new methods/processes for attribute editing, ensuring data integrity and compatibility with integrated systems.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal contacts, provide advice and assistance on GIS-related matters, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
