Robert Half is searching for a Senior Accountant for a short-term contract / temporary opportunity with an exciting organization in the Non-Profit industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities

• Complete other projects as required
• Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing
• Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
• Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests
• Implement monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
• Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
• Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
• Build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
• Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
• Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
• Property accounting experience desired
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
• 5+ years of overall general accounting experience
• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
• SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
• Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
• Experience with ERP systems - Yardi
• This position requires financial reporting systems proficiency
