Responsibilities:
As a General Ledger Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing various accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of our general ledger, and preparing detailed financial statements. You’ll also be tasked with coordinating balance sheet reconciliation and preparing schedules to support disclosure requirements. This role requires a high level of precision, commitment, and collaboration as you’ll be working closely with other departments.
- Perform daily accounting operations, including recording journal entries and reconciling subsidiary and general ledgers
- Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by keeping accurate records of fixed assets, intercompany transactions, net investment and taxation
- Prepare financial statements, schedules and statement variance analysis
- Responsible for monthly and quarterly closing activities
- Coordinate balance sheet reconciliation and preparation of schedules to support disclosure requirements
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
