Band 4 Glaucoma Failsafe Officer/Patient Pathway Coordinator (Ophthalmology)
We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as the Glaucoma failsafe officer.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and be willing to multi-task under challenging conditions.
The Ophthalmology team is committed to providing our colleagues with a positive experience assisting them to build fulfilling and rewarding careers.
You will be the main point of contact for administrative issues relating to Glaucoma patients’ pathway of care, assurance that all patients’ pathways are managed using national assurance standards and local clinical decisions.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will provide expertise in the proactive management of the Glaucoma patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly. You will supervise and delegate work to those within their team.

THE POST HOLDER WILL:
Be the main point of contact for administrative issues relating to Glaucoma, patients’ pathway of care, assurance that all patients pathways are managed using national assurance standards and local clinical decisions.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will provide expertise in the proactive management of the Glaucoma patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly.
Supervise and delegate work to those within their team.
Ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer focused and knowledgeable point of contact. To provide a consistent approach across the Trust, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that functions of the role are carried out correctly within given time scales.
