Thoughtworks is seeking to hire an experienced Global Account Director (SVP Grade) to oversee the global management and growth of our largest and most critical automotive client.

Responsibilities:

OUR GLOBAL ACCOUNT DIRECTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Global Account Directors are responsible to work with senior and regional management and with the extended account teams to:

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate the standard Global Account Plan looking across the account’s business and service units to maximize Thoughtworks’ opportunities and provide consistent solutions to the customer’s requirements.
  • Manage to plan by holding weekly team conference calls with their extended teams and by holding local account reviews to ensure all opportunities are identified, developed and measured for success.
  • Engage the customer through collaborative planning sessions and regular customer business reviews.
  • Leverage executive sponsors in account reviews, key visits and account planning sessions.
  • Communicate progress by leveraging customer newsletters, executive sponsor updates, quarterly management letters and monthly update calls with the key stakeholders within Thoughtworks
  • Develop and manage the coverage model that best meets the needs of Thoughtworks and the customer.
  • Negotiate and execute agreements between Thoughtworks and the customer on global level, including global purchasing agreements, global T&C’s and NDAs.

WHAT YOU’LL BE EMPOWERED TO DO:

In order to enable the Global Account Director to provide this level of support and have accountability worldwide, the Global Account Director in conjunction with senior management has authority to:

  • Set and approve all pricing for the global account (within Thoughtworks commercial rules).
  • Coordinate global demand coverage and drive local demand execution. Regional sales management should work with the Global Account Director to optimize sales coverage for the Global Account.
  • Set, manage and approve all compensation splits within the guidelines of the established worldwide split policy and the Thoughtworks’ accounting policies (e.g., revenue recognition if people from one country come and work for a certain period of time in another country
  • Recommend the local distribution of Global Account quotas worldwide.
