We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will drive our market presence and revenue growth, with focus on the academic biochemistry and cell biology segments.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong record in business development within academic life sciences, specifically in the field of electron microscopy.
- In-depth understanding of biochemistry and cell biology research needs and challenges. MS or PhD in Life Sciences, preferably in biochemistry, cell biology or structural biology.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Effective at working within a highly matrixed global organization.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for product improvement. Identify and target potential customers, build and nurture strong relationships to generate new business opportunities. This includes active participation in conferences and trade shows to prospect, promote our solutions and generate leads.
- Develop strong, segment-specific value proposition that resonate with key buyer personas. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted promotional campaigns and to effectively communicate the value proposition of our solutions to the target audience. Develop action plans for lead generation and coordinate implementation with regional commercial teams.
- Support product marketing teams by providing the field perspective for (new) products and workflows, as well as competitive trends.
