We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Procurement Category Manager to join our team and revolutionise our IT procurement strategies with a Proactive approach capable of driving outcomes despite incomplete information.
Position: Global Procurement Category Manager IT
Location: Dublin, hybrid working.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for the IT Infrastructure category including hardware, software - cloud technologies, services and equipment to optimise cost savings and ensure quality and reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align procurement strategies with organisational goals.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the IT supply chain, staying ahead of industry developments.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and contracts, while maintaining strong relationships and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, streamline operations, and maximize efficiency.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to mitigate risks and address issues proactively.
- RFX development and execution, proposal evaluation against business requirements and total cost of ownership
Requirments:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years expereince at a Global level.
- Proven experience in procurement or strategic sourcing within the IT category, with a strong understanding of IT products, services, and market dynamics
- Develop and execute IT Category Strategies to drive cost optimisation and capture value
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing global procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and drive value for the organisation.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Experience working in a multinational or global organisation is a plus.
