The Global Client Director at Microsoft leads one of our biggest customers in the chemical industry. This is a leadership position of a direct and a virtual team managing and coordinating multiple resources internally and externally. This is a highly visible position tasked with leading and challenging customers to reach their true potential.
Leveraging your large, multi-functional team across the breadth of the Microsoft product portfolio, engage at the most senior levels of your customer and bring industry-relevant solutions to help the customer adopt and embrace digital technologies.
With a proven history of driving growth in market share, achieving sales targets, customer obsession, and partner collaboration, this role will leverage your extensive customer network and sales experience to execute against an account plan.
In addition to leading this large multinational customer, the successful candidate should also lead all Microsoft efforts in the Field of Research and Development, as such serving as ‘National Science Officer’ for Microsoft Germany.
In this expanded responsibility you will work with all of our customers, partners and internal teams to accelerate the digital transformation across research and Development of our largest customers in material science, life science, health, research institutes and other research heavy segments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree AND proven years of experience working in an industry (e.g., Government, Education) and/or driving digital transformation.
- OR Master’s Degree AND multiple years experience working in an industry (e.g., Government, Education) and/or driving digital transformation.
- OR proven years of experience in working in an industry (e.g., Government, Education) and/or driving digital transformation.
- Global/International experience to lead multi-cultural diverse and remote teams.
- Deep understanding of the chemicals and life science industry
- Track record of advancing digitalization in Research and Development
- Talent and skill to influence and motivate global virtual teams and other valuable stakeholders.
- Multiple years of selling to large scale enterprise customers
ADDITIONAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (PQS)
- Bachelor’s Degree AND proven years of experience working in an industry (e.g., Government, Education) and/or driving digital transformation.
- OR Master’s Degree AND strong years experience working in an industry (e.g., Government, Education) and/or driving digital transformation.
- PhD in a science field or other relevant research experience
- Deep understanding of the end to end research process, related technologies and digitalization opportunities
- Public Speaking experience and subject matter expertise in the field of digitalization in R&D
