How does this role contribute to our collective success?
AXIS has circa 250 individual collateral accounts across various types of collateral such as Letters of Credit (LOC) and Convention de Gage (CdG) providing over USD 600m in collateral for our clients. This role will be responsible for the timely creation, maintenance and reductions of the collateral accounts. The important of this role to the company is to reduce the instances where collateral accountants are maintained at unnecessary levels with the associated costs this brings to the company.

What will you do in this role?

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all external stakeholders in the creation and maintenance of collateral, brokers, cedants, bank etc.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s collateral requirements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and assets for collateral creation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to update and refresh existing collateral, keeping it current and relevant.
  • Manage the collateral repository, organizing files systematically for easy retrieval and version control.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure that collateral requirements and collateral posted are in line.

About You:

What you need to have:

  • 5+ years plus reinsurance experience preferred
  • Can speak Fluent French
  • In depth knowledge of Reinsurance accounting with significant experience in a Technical Accounting and/or Claims role.
  • Experience in collateral creation and maintenance.
  • An understanding of the key components of collateral requirements.
