JOB DESCRIPTION

The Global Corporate Bank (GCB) manages J.P. Morgan’s overall banking relationships with large corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations.
We help our clients meet their objectives and challenges in financing (e.g. bonds, syndicated loans), risk management (e.g. hedging through derivatives), and treasury services.

The Bank has a long-standing and leading presence in Peru, as evidenced by milestone transactions with the largest corporations.

Main Responsibilities of a GCB Intern

  • Support GCB activities, including: (a) financial analysis; (b) preparation of marketing materials such us roadshow presentations, discussion materials and others; and (c) coordination with J.P. Morgan’s product specialists (Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Payments, Investment Banking, among others)
  • Provide a daily inform to bankers on the principal market updates based on public information
  • Understand business dynamics of industries and sectors, analyzing financial requirements of our clients (e.g. debt capacity analysis, ratings considerations, acquisition financing analysis) and how to mitigate associated risks
  • Keep internal database of clients up to date, including all the developments on transactions that are being executed
  • Support the development of business plans, wallet sizing and prospecting analysis preparing pitch books for existing and prospect clients
  • Support GCB in the discussions and approval processes for all products under scope

Qualifications

  • University student finalizing its degree from 7th to 9th cycle of Economy, Finance, Management, Engineering or related
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Positive attitude towards teamwork and proactivity
  • Commercial mindset – able to communicate with internal and external clients
  • Skills in corporate finance, financial analysis and problem solving
  • Knowledge of MS Office package
