Check out this internship starting September 2024 and Unleash Your Possibility at JDE Peet’s!
At JDE Peet’s (before: JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS), we’re not just about Coffee or Tea; we’re all about the moments and connections they spark. With a history spanning 270 years, we’ve been shaping the daily rituals of people worldwide, driven by our dedication to quality products and sustainability.

Job Description
Join us as Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Intern at our international headquarters either in Utrecht or Amsterdam, starting in September 2024. In this internship, you will contribute to our overall DE&I mission by working closely with the Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Project Specialist in the execution and delivery of our global DE&I roadmap, as well as you will increase awareness of DE&I within the organization through communication and global activations.

Your key activities will be:

  • Organizing global events and building communication plans around our global activations (Gender Balance Month, Pride Month, TrueYOU Week).
  • Manage communications and engagement with our community of DE&I Champions worldwide (more than 200 associates).
  • Collect best practices and support the DE&I Champions across the world on day-to-day questions.
  • Work together with external partners and agencies in delivering key projects in our roadmap.
  • Conduct benchmarking assessments to understand how we perform in comparison with other companies in our industry.

Supported by a commendable 4.5 Glassdoor rating and 94% intern recommendation score, we pledge to provide you with a unique learning journey as part of our Global DE&I team, where you’ll advance your DE&I knowledge by working on very diverse topics (i.e., gender equality, LGBTQ inclusion, cross-generations), as well as advance your cross-functional knowledge by working with colleagues from other teams inside HR (L&D, Talent, Analytics) and outside HR (e.g. Communications).

What’s in it for you?

  • A monthly internship allowance of €525 (full-time)
  • Travel compensation if you don’t have a free public transport card
  • Paid holidays for each internship term
  • Two weeks of remote working anywhere in Europe (EEA)
  • The chance to learn from the best Global DE&I professionals out there!

Qualifications
Are you bursting with fresh ideas and a hunger for learning? We want you!

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Academic Program: You are enrolled in a MSc program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Marketing & Communication or any other field of education in connection with DE&I.
  • Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English. Moreover, we are looking for a candidate that will be truly passionate about DE&I and inclusive role model.
  • Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently in a fast-paced organization.
  • Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 6 months to this internship, preferably from September 2024 to the end of February 2025.
  • Availability: You can join the internship for at least 4 days per week, including three days in-office and one or two days remotely, ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence.

As we hope to have piqued your interest, please ensure you also meet the eligibility criteria and academic requirements:

  • Your internship should be included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results.
  • Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peet’s and when joining our Research departments, also sign an NDA agreement for internships.
  • You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
