Description:

You will be responsible for creating, implementing and managing comprehensive training programs across all John Crane regions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify training needs, prioritise requests, create relevant content and ensure delivery of engaging training sessions with clear learning outcomes. A critical leadership position, the incumbent will collaborate with a complex breadth of global stakeholders both internal and external to ensure innovative training delivery enhancing performance of our staff and customers. This senior role will manage a small but experienced team of technical trainers and instructional designers and report into the Global Marketing Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Training Strategy Development– design and execute a global training roadmap aligned with business objectives leveraging instructional design principles to create engaging and effective learning experiences
  • Audience definition and related Training Pathways – both internal and external. Liaison with service country and regional service leads to establish training objectives for John Crane staff to increase technical capabilities and monitoring of technical staff performance standards
  • Instructional Design– ensure training materials and delivery are tailored to various learning styles and audience needs (including internal and external audiences)
  • Training Delivery– Ability to ensure high quality training delivery from the team, by others in the organization or in some situations by yourself. Lead in the provision of bespoke training solutions, as directed, to meet customer requirements and contractual obligations.
  • New Hire Onboarding– working with HR colleagues to co-ordinate and facilitate comprehensive onboarding for new hires
  • Skills Development– identify skills gaps with the broader organization and collaborate with subject matter experts to design targeted skills development programmes
  • Maintain regional trainer skill standards and requirements for non-departmental staff such as Field Service Engineers or Partners.
  • Sales Enablement – work with Digital team and Marketing team to ensure successful delivery of future Sales Enablement platform
  • Measurement and Evaluation– establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes. Establish documentation delivery, training performance and quality metrics and monitor performance toward those goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration– partner closely with Sales, Marketing, HR, Portfolio and other cross-functional teams to understand training needs, align priorities and ensure seamless delivery of relevant training programmes – both face and virtual.
  • Communication– effective and timely communication of customer and internal customer training schedule
  • Logistics planning- ensure logistics and tools at training locations and for external customer training are executed by the team
  • End to End Customer Experience- Ensure professional end-to-end customer experience for our learning delivery
  • Partner assessment and management – define and assess 3rd party enablement support needs and ongoing delivery accountability to support strategic plan.
  • Budget and Revenue Management- Manage training budget for the team and assess the commercial opportunity to systemize income generation from highest value training programmes
