POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Nikon SLM Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Event Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of our global events, including trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, open house events and seminars. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Global Event Coordinator will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of events that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive event strategies to support business objectives and enhance brand awareness.
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, including venue selection, budget management, vendor negotiations, logistics, catering, and on-site coordination.
- Collaborate with marketing, business development, and sales teams to develop promotional materials, booth designs, giveaways, presentations, show parts, and other event collateral.
- Manage event timelines, deadlines, and milestones to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns.
- Conduct internal and external post-event evaluations to assess the effectiveness of each event and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to enhance the company’s event strategies.
- Travel to domestic and international events as needed to provide on-site support and represent Nikon SLM Solutions professionally.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in event planning and coordination, preferably in a global or corporate environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage budgets effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality events that exceed expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and event management software
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative event concepts and experiences.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry or familiarity with additive manufacturing technologies (e.g., 3D printing, SLM) is a plus.
