Description:

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • University degree in engineering, commerce, or finance and completion of a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain or equivalent.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken) is a prerequisite, German or other languages are an asset.
  • Exposure to executive development and/or specialist procurement or supply chain programs.
  • Appropriate professional affiliations, such as CIPS, registration is desirable but not mandatory.

EXPERIENCE

  • Strong experience of having held similar roles in the Coffee industry, ideally around the professional manufacturing of Coffee Machines or Coffee Machine solutions.
  • Ten years’ business management, and five years’ senior management experience in procurement and/or supply chain environment.
  • Procurement and strategic sourcing and supplier development within multiple countries globally with a proven successful track record in relevant industry/sector experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with modern procurement techniques and approaches, such as strategic category management and the application of cost management principles, is important.
  • Previous experience with P&L responsibilities and leading a multi-national organization will be an asset.
  • Functions well in ambiguity and in cross-functional teams/topics within procurement (Direct categories, Indirect categories and divisional procurement) and other functional areas (e.g. R&D, Supply Chain, Information Technology, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Front-person / “the face of procurement” for the Division Procurement function and have accountabilty for the stakeholder management and customer satisfaction in the Division. Acts as single point of contact for Coffee Division to assure procurement delivery for the division in line with business requirements to procurement savings and value contribution are met.
  • Works alongside the CPO, Division CEO and the Procurement Leadership, to set strategic direction for Division Procurement function and measure contribution: Procurement Savings, Procurement Performance KPIs/Metrics, Talent Management, ROI (Savings targets vs. Operating budgets), Procurement Capability Building, Knowledge Sharing, Supporting Tools, enable Source-to-Pay Process and driving continuous improvements.
  • Sets a Strategic Procurement Plan for the Division and contributes to Global Procurement strategic procurement plan with the CPO and the Procurement Leadership team and according to Division requirements.
  • Regular technology scouting in order to ensure latest technological developments are integrated in sourcing decisions
  • Strong cooperation with division R&D to analyze technical specifications and select component platforms early in the new product development cycle
  • Preparation and implementation of the annual pricing negotiations
  • Implementation of risk management by establishing yearly risk analysis and defining a second source strategy
  • Communicates overall Procurement Mission, Vision, Guiding Principles and Ways of Working within the Division and contribute to the successful execution of Global and Local Procurement Category Management within the Division.
  • Leads, drives and develops Strategic Sourcing teams of Division Category Leads and Category Buyers Managers.
  • Develop and grow solid and high-quality supplier base and share related information with the organization, such as priority categories, key supplier alliances and market knowledge.
  • Assess and qualify supplier’s manufacturing outlets according to plan and ensure supplier compliance to Franke’s defined standards, including but not limited to, quality, safety, supplier code of conduct, etc.
  • Alongside Global Procurement and New Product Development, co-lead product evaluation, screening, selection and product category management.
  • Hold suppliers accountable to performance agreements, manage and rapidly resolve supplier’s production and quality assurance issues working with both internal and external parties and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and coordinating collaboration opportunities and ensure the integration of processes and technology across the organisation.
  • Achieve agreed business targets and provide accurate and timely information as required to drive these targets, in areas such as:
  • Financial Performance.
  • Industry/sector reporting.
  • Staffing forecasting, planning and succession management.
  • Annual budgets.
  • Spend analysis and cost escalation control.
  • Arrange benchmarking and best practice reviews both internally and externally. Ensuring the appropriate business processes are in place.
  • Ensure correct interfaces with Group and Division functions to drive business needs: R&D, Supply Chain & Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality and Safety, etc.
  • Develop and guide team leaders in the organization and ensure clear consistent accountabilities.
  • Hold teams to highest standard of discipline, accountability & ethical standards.
