Description:


  • Job Title: Global Head of Sales Operations and SME Development
    Reporting line: CCO
    Purpose:
    The Global Head of Sales Operations and SME Development plays a critical leadership role in overseeing and directing the strategic operations of the organization on a global scale. Responsible for managing and developing the Aramex strategic approach for (i) Regional and Country Sales Effectiveness/Sales Excellence (ii) SalesForce.com implementation, usage and ROI (iii) developing our sales training and coaching roadmap (iv) developing ‘one version of the truth’ sales BI and sales analytics (v) Sales Tools (vi) Sales Campaigns (vii) B2B SME Sales Strategies and plans - this executive position requires exceptional business acumen, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of international markets and regulatory environments. The incumbent will be responsible for driving growth, profitability, and sustainability while ensuring alignment with the company’s overarching mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive global strategy for our Global Sales Operations and SME approach that aligns with the company’s objectives and drives sustainable growth.
  • Business Development: Driving growth from the sales steams in the countries by developing a clear strategy and approach for sales excellence using a mixture of analytics, coaching and rewards/recognition
  • Performance Management: understanding what ‘good looks like’ externally and adapting to the Aramex environment; creating positive internal competition through transparency of data and clarity on targets
  • Regional Alignment; to work with the regions to ensure that best practise is incorporated into the various approaches; ensuring that regions are both empowered to adapt the global strategies whilst staying within the agreed framework
  • Reporting and Operational Excellence: develop one version of the truth so that all regions and teams are clear on the metrics that drive to drive efficiency, productivity, and quality across the organization
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to optimize profitability and ensure efficient use of resources across all regions.
  • Innovation: Reviewing sales processes, tools and methodology that will keep Aramex as a leader in terms of sales and sales management
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and opportunities in global markets, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders, customers, suppliers, government agencies, and industry associations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of executive leadership in multinational corporations, with at least 10 years of experience in progressively responsible roles.
  • Deep understanding of global markets, economic trends, regulatory environments, and cultural nuances, with experience leading business operations in multiple countries or regions.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and decision-making abilities, with the ability to anticipate and respond effectively to changing market dynamics and competitive pressures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus, inspire trust, and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage complex projects, and lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct, with a commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work across different time zones as needed to support global operations.
