Description:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Global oversight of technical accounting responsible for driving consistency, process improvement, best practice, automation and continuous improvement across the Reinsurance segment
- Work with regional reinsurance Technical Accounting colleagues and Shared Service Technical Accounting colleagues to assure timely and accurate financial data and achievement of service excellence
- Dotted line dual reporting line manager for 5 Technical Accounting Managers / Leaders across the globe (Bermuda, North America and International Regions, Shared Service India and Shared Service Poland). Solid line reporting will be to a manager in country / in region.
- Maintain high relationships with key stakeholders through frequent contact and being responsive to their business needs
- Develop and mentor Technical Accounting Managers / Leads in Region and in Shared Service to assure professional growth and value add
- Proven ability to challenge the status quo and deliver successful change
- Engage, influence and align stakeholders in support of Global Operations goals
- Collaborate with Reinsurance IT team to continuously improve efficiency of processing and to accommodate new types of business
- Participating member of the Global Reinsurance Operations leadership group

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB:
- Education to Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent in Accounting
- Advanced Technical or Reinsurance Accounting Experience.
- Extensive knowledge relating to the provision of and accounting for Letters of Credit
- Demonstrated experience in managing and deliving effective processes related to reinsurance account processing, cash allocation, balance settlement and collection.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products.
- CPCU or ACII designation would be beneficial
