As the Global Internal Communication Business Partner (12-month FTC) you will be responsible for creating and implementing a compelling global multi-channel internal communications plan that connects across four of our Global Centers of Excellence and delivers maximum value to Imperial Brands. You will ensure there are effective channels of communication to allow for easy, effective, and consistent messaging which drives high levels of engagement across complex and diverse international audiences.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and deliver an innovative and impactful multi-channel internal communications plan that will connect across four of our Global Centers of Excellence.
  • Provide trusted guidance and effective internal communications strategies, identifying and targeting key internal audiences and channels for communication, as well as developing engaging content and seeking ways to continuously improve.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Global CoE Leadership team and other senior leaders to provide trusted guidance and effective internal communications strategies
  • Establish an appropriate cadence of internal communications and engagement initiatives through a variety of multi-media online and offline channels including webcasts, videos, and digital platforms including VIVA Engage/Yammer.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and regional communications/People & Culture teams to ensure that the group-wide internal communications strategy and CoE communications activities are aligned to ensure regular, timely, and impactful flow of communications through the organisation with suitability to different audiences within it.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A proven track record in successfully creating and delivering multi-channel engaging internal communication activities in complex, global organisations (including non-office-based/factory-based employees) against the backdrop of large-scale global change/transformation.
  • Skilled in influencing and guiding key stakeholders to best utilise and optimise internal communications to contribute to commercial success.
  • Enjoys, and is capable of being both a strategic internal communications leader and a practical, ‘hands-on’ implementer, delivering in a fast-paced, transformational environment.
  • Highly skilled in designing and implementing compelling and timely multi-channel communication strategies.
  • Highly collaborative – with strong partnership and stakeholder management skills
  • A self-confident, well organised, proactive individual who will roll up their sleeves when required to handle the details of key business issues.
