Global IP/MPLS Services Sr. Engineer

YOUR DAY TO DAY:

Design, engineer and deliver business critical IP Network information systems (HW & SW IP routing & switching systems) for Global organizations and several GNED external customers to ensure global cloud & hosting strategy execution and enhanced customer experience.
The Engineer in this role performs advanced analysis, creates guidelines, defines optimal technical requirements, implements and integrates complex international IP systems, supports development and testing of IP Network information systems for national & international customers. They coordinate strategic projects related to above information systems, ensuring timely delivery to external clients (Vodafone markets across the globe & Corporate clients).

WITH THESE SKILLS YOU ARE A GREAT CANDIDATE:

• Expert knowledge of IP service architecture and advanced technologies (MPLS VPN, TE, QoS, IPv6, MC, NNIs, …), IP routing & switching information systems, network operating systems
• Virtualization and automation technologies (NFV, SDN, Overlay VPN)
• Very good knowledge of certain IP Core architectures and dynamic routing protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF)
• +3Y experience in similar domains
• Good understanding of the SW lifecycle: design, development, testing and acceptance, implementation, performance optimization and troubleshooting
• Ability to work within virtual teams and interface with multi-national clients

MUST HAVE TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• University degree in computer science, telecommunications or equivalent
• Industry recognized certifications at professional-expert level (e.g. CCNP, CCDP) are considered a plus
• Good awareness of wider technology aspects in telecommunications and ICT
• Inter-functional relationships between information systems
