The Global Manager of Quality, Safety and Environment (QSE) is responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of quality, safety, and environmental systems and processes throughout our organization. The ideal candidate ensures that the company meets quality standards set by regulatory and customer requirements. This position is also responsible for ensuring practices are in compliance with applicable ISO standards, regulations, and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Safety, Quality Assurance/Quality Control preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of successful process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001, 45001, and 18001 preferred
  • A minimum of two years of relevant energy industry related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of UAV and small manned aircraft operations and regulations preferred
  • Experience managing programs of complex diversity and scope which are of critical importance to overall company objectives.
  • Proven leadership and influence skills to cross functionally manage a remote team of resources to achieve program objectives
  • Able to independently work remotely and coordinate effectively with a fully remote workforce.
  • Solid computer skills (Office suite, Slack, Zoom).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to travel 25% domestically and internationally for short-term engagements
  • Able to sit, stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement company Management System’s quality policies, objectives, and procedures are compliant with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and manage the global Quality, Safety and Environmental function and team of direct and matrixed resources
  • Utilize statistical analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in processes through analysis of quality metrics, trends, and performance
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to standards
  • Facilitate Management System audits - internal, external, and customer
  • Support Sales with customer RFP response submissions
  • Develop and implement training curriculum on the Management System and QSE programs
  • Organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities across a variety of functions and projects.
  • Collaborate with the team on the development & management of departmental objectives and key results.
  • Work cross functionally as part of a global operations team to continuously improve workflows by identifying and addressing gaps in processes and procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring written documentation and training on procedures and workflows are kept current and in compliance with regional, local regulatory requirements, and ISO standards
  • Collaborate with Product, Development, Hardware and other support teams on QSE requirements needed to meet customer deliverables and departmental priorities.
  • Utilize proven RCA methodologies and tools to identify basic or causal factors in deviations in quality or variances in performance to eliminate repeated occurrences, optimize performance, and prepare reports and/or presentations to summarize findings for internal and external stakeholders, performing follow-up assessments to measure effectiveness.
