SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- ATT qualified
- Extensive relevant expatriate tax/global mobility experience.
- Experience of working on expatriate tax programs with a track record of high quality delivery.
- Strong practical knowledge of current GM advisory issues including SRT, Social Security and PWD post Brexit, Double tax treaties, NRDs, modified payroll, remote workers, PAYE obligations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills with clients and staff at all levels with the ability to build rapport and develop strong relationships.
- Ability to understand the full range of the firm’s service offering and translating that into identifying new work opportunities.
- Commercial awareness and a practical, business driven approach.
Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
There are exciting plans for growth and development within Global Mobility Services at Mazars. We are looking for someone who has the appetite to take advantage of their personal career development and business opportunities, which can be gained through the exposure and responsibility of day to day delivery and management of client relationships.
The role has a dual compliance and advisory focus. Working closely with other members of the Global Mobility Team, you will focus on the delivery of an exceptional service to your clients, demonstrating your solid tax technical capabilities and building strong and lasting relationships with your client base.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To manage all day to day aspects of a client portfolio, this will include the following:
- Conducting arrival and departure meetings with international assignees.
- Preparing UK tax returns and dealing with any queries arising from the client, taxpayer or HMRC.
- Deliver advisory work on your portfolio and assist more senior members of the team with specific advisory projects.
- Assisting in the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business driven approach.
- Running modified expatriate payrolls, gross up calculations and the year-end process.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide a high level of client service.
- To be a contact point for both the corporate clients and the individual expatriates.
- Assisting in winning work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to winning new clients.
- Manage risk appropriately for both clients and the firm.
