FMC has a world-class biologicals business, that is expanding Biologicals through In-House R&D, Partnerships and M&A.
We are now looking for a Global Portfolio Manager, Plant Health to strategically oversee, manage and develop FMC’s Plant Health inline and pipeline products and solution portfolios, including LCM initiatives.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Agriculture and/or Marketing
  • Work experience from crop protection and min. 5 years or experience in portfolio management or a related role.
  • A good knowledge of the biological crop protection sector is a plus
  • An experience of innovation management as well as financial acumen is appreciated
  • Strong aptitude for team working collaborative
  • Capability to operate across diverse environments- commercial, production, R&D as well as interacting with experts and play a large coordination role within a matrixial environment

Responsibilities:

  • You identify, design, and follow either directly or indirectly the required activities for support and development of the portfolio, including some strong internal interactions and potential external ones.
  • You provide global priorities and guidance to the commercial organization through the ownership of the Global Plant Health portfolio plan to guide and support FMC’s Plant Health financial objectives and to fulfill growers needs. It’s also your responsibility to ensure that projects, campaigns, or initiatives are aligned with the organization’s overall business goals and objectives.
  • Cross-functional collaboration is important in this role, as you will work closely with various departments (such as sales, R&D, product stewardship) to ensure Plant Health marketing strategies are integrated across the company and actively translated into tactical plans and activities that are aligned with overall business goals.
  • Strategic planning and oversight: Contribute to the development and implementation of the PH strategy that encompasses all projects within the portfolio to achieve business objectives. This includes potential market research, competitive analysis, understanding customer needs and to identify potential FMC portfolio gaps to fulfill and guide strategic decisions.
  • Portfolio and pipeline management: Evaluate and select projects to be included in the portfolio based on their alignment with strategic goals, potential impact, and resource availability.
  • Performance measurement and analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for relevant portfolio projects and monitor their success.
  • Budget management: Ensure optimal allocation of resources across projects within the portfolio. This includes monitoring spending, forecasting future expenses, and making adjustments to stay within budget.
  • Stakeholder & peers communication: Regular exchange with stakeholders, including senior management, team members and external partners to provide updates on portfolio strategies, project progress, and performance results.
  • Market Trends and Innovation: Stay abreast of market trends, consumer behavior, and technological advancements. Incorporate innovative ideas and best practices into the management of the portfolio to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Leadership and Development: Fostering a collaborative environment, capability to influence without authority, strong teamwork capabilities.
