Position Description
Zayo Global Reach is seeking a Financial Strategy Director to join the organization reporting directly to the Managing Director, Global Reach. This position plays a pivotal role in actively driving the success of the Zayo Global Reach business and requires an individual with diverse analytical skills and financial experience. Responsibilities

  • Lead with a data driven approach the Global Reach financial strategy - ensuring growth and profitability goals are measurable and attainable while navigating complex cross- business scenarios to drive highest value outcome for GR and Zayo holistically
  • Finance business partner: track analyze and help drive operational and financial KPIs
  • Prepare and maintain in-depth analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting of financial and business performance for the Global Reach business
  • Global Reach P&L budget and forecast preparation, maintenance and providing insights into results - deep focus on cost / revenue alignment to ensure profitability metrics tightly monitored
  • Prepare and maintain monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting and reporting records of financial and business performance to support company-wide financial and operational goals, initiatives and objectives
  • Own month-end and quarter-end close and reporting responsibilities
  • Own the preparation of presentations (internal, external and board level) of financial and operational business results and analysis
  • Advanced ability to translate contractual provisions into financial and accounting figures and forecasts
  • Can communicate and train others on a business proposition or organizational philosophy
  • Maintain data fidelity in our financial databases
  • Can test the strength of our systems and existing automation to find new opportunities for operational and financial efficiency; can create and lead an IT project to completion
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across organization business units, providing connective tissue across the teams
  • Advanced understanding of GAAP principles
  • Can teach and train financial and accounting principles to non-finance and non-accounting staff
  • Own the capital spend analysis, providing detailed budget performance for Executives
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Executives and leaders in other functional groups
  • Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests

Qualifications

  • Requires bachelor’s degree in business or finance, MBA/CPA preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in FP&A and/or accounting
  • Ability to successfully manage matrix organizations and cross functional teaming
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting and analytical skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Data sleuth - pulling reports and providing analysis and direction based on Salesforce data
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Professional demeanor; self-accountable
  • Knowledge of accounting (GAAP) principles and financial statement modeling

Base Salary Range: $105,000 - $157,500 commensurate with experience.
