Job Title: Global Recruitment Trainee
Permanent, Full Time Opportunity
Location: Toronto, Canada , Hybrid Working
Start date: August 19th, 2024

On-site training dates: August 19th - September 9th

  • initial training period will be delivered in person via the local AMS office in Downtown Toronto

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous work experience (paid or unpaid) ideally gained in a customer facing role
  • French language is required for this role
  • Expertise in a market sector or talent segment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent academic qualification
  • Working knowledge of recruitment technology and databases
  • Understanding of employment legislation
  • Knowledge of candidate sourcing strategies

Responsibilities:

To start your development journey, the initial training period is designed to provide the following learning outcomes:

  • How to develop a good understanding of client needs, their industry, what they do, their work culture and environment. Essentially, you will learn about what makes a successful hire and how we can ensure our clients continue to grow successfully.
  • Learning the processes which you will need to master to ensure that we consistently deliver for our clients. No two clients are the same and our commitment to delivering excellence means we need adaptable and agile thinkers.
  • How to use a candidate database to match qualified candidates to client vacancies. Knowing how to attract and engage talent is an essential skill in the world of Talent Acquisition.
  • How to evaluate applicants fairly against defined role criteria and how best to present a shortlist of suitable candidates to clients.
  • How to manage interviews and the assessment and selection process. There’s a lot of planning that goes into what you’ll do so it’s important to be forward thinking in order to coordinate the process effectively and ensure that it is fit-for-purpose.
  • How to ensure that successful candidates are engaged and onboarded correctly and within the agreed time frames. For our clients and candidates with whom we partner, providing a best-in-class experience is vital and both Sourcers and Recruiters play a crucial role in making this happen.
