As Global Supply Chain Director, you will oversee the day-day activities and execution of continuous improvement projects focussed on process efficiencies for procurement through to customer supply.
This position is based at our Cambridge manufacturing and research facility and has been newly created to lead OGT global supply chain operations. Operations involves the production and supply of over 400 catalogue products and increases to more than 1,000 when including bespoke products.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING FOR US:

  • Provide leadership to all Supply Chain department employees to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and carry their responsibilities to the required standard in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the development of the company’s corporate strategy and lead strategy development for Supply Chain to ensure that company achieves its short and long-term objectives.
  • Provide leadership for the development and implementation all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the necessary compliance and due diligence in Supply Chain activities.
  • Develop and control the budget for Supply Chain to ensure that the Department has all the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters.
  • Ensure that a safe and healthy working environment is maintained within assigned areas and support improvement activities in all areas as appropriate.
  • Analyse, consolidate and prepare monthly demand forecast, supply gaps and demand and supply monthly report.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all other managers and senior managers to ensure that there is effective co-ordination of all department activities in support of corporate objectives.
  • Act as the company’s main adviser on all issues relating to Supply Chain and keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the Company maintains compliance and its competitive position.
  • Responsible for department performance and developing/delivering on key performance indicators.
  • Embedding leader standard work or similar practices to create a culture of compliance, empowerment, and engagement.
  • To form and maintain effective sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes (OGT and Cytocell).
  • To execute and document tasks using approved ISO compliant documentation and adhering to procedures as documented in the Cytocell and OGT QMS.
  • To complete any other tasks as commensurate with the level and nature of the post as delegated by the EVP Operations.
    The role will be based at the OGT Cambridge site but shall require infrequent travel between Oxford, Cambridge, and partner sites to attend meetings and to oversee work.
