  • Collaborate with multiple Tesla internal project managers under the Merchandise team to support their procurement needs, as well as evaluate and provide guidance on final selection of suppliers
  • Own the execution of RFI’s, RFP’s, and RFQ’s - ensuring all commercial terms are agreed and documented - and evaluate supplier business proposals and present recommendations that will result in cost savings, avoidance, or containment
  • Drive price negotiations processes to ensure that Tesla’s commodity pricing is best-in-class, and drive continual cost reduction/avoidance initiatives through ad hoc price negotiations
  • Monitor current category market conditions, technology roadmaps, and identify supply/demand challenges and opportunities
  • Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models, and identify supplier consolidation opportunities that will generate savings

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, experience, evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent
  • At least 2-3 years of related work experience in Procurement or Consulting (preferable)
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Ability to make quick decisions with 80% information
  • Ability to work cross-functionally among Engineering, Programs, and Finance teams
  • Willingness to operate in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
