Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

In this role, you will have responsibility for the delivery of the Traceability Portfolio across the AstraZeneca Network, IT, CMOs and 3rd parties to meet new requirements; using standard business processes and development of sub-processes where necessary.
You will manage the scope of the Portfolio including undertaking Impact Assessment of any new requirements and for the CMO and 3PS portfolio. You will identify risks and propose solutions, balancing business needs and costs and take accountability for decision making in risk management processes. Driving and supporting issue resolution within the Portfolio.
As part of the role, you will deal with a wide range of complex problems that require well developed conceptual thinking and judgement to find innovative solutions when necessary. You will also be required to overcome problems which have not been encountered previously and where there is no precedent. This will often involve accessing external resources for advice and finding new ways of working. Problems encountered will be complex, requiring consideration of a diverse range of factors (e.g. financial, legal, fiscal, compliance, technical, political and personnel).
You will provide input to Steering/Governance and be required to communicate optimally at all levels and across different functions within the organization and with key partners in order to negotiate with and influence beliefs, opinions and behaviours of others over a range of issues. This will require well-developed partner manaleadership skills cultural sensitivity.
In particular, for our 3PS organisation you will be accountable for issue resolution for 3PS Traceability issues, working across multiple teams and ensuring root causes are accurately addressed.
You will represent AstrraZeneca on key external forums and governing bodies for Traceability.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experienced in leading large, complex Programmes in the pharmaceutical industry across internal and external organizations while simultaneously meeting multiple external requirements.
  • Significant Programme Management experience with proven delivery track record.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively cross-functionally and across multiple countries, both internally and externally
  • Strong stakeholder and influencing skills at EVP level.
  • Leading and working in a matrix, with a strong demonstration of coaching. Demonstrable process development experience.
  • Change management experience.
  • Ability to operate independently and make sound business decision with limited information available.
  • Ability to handle cultural differences sensitively and negotiate different interests.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

Responsibilities:

The Traceability Portfolio Director will be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects to drive the necessary Licence to operate (LtO) requirements in Traceability capability (plant, process & people) across the AstraZeneca network, our Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) and our 3PS (Third Party Supply) organisation. Ensuring that AZ Traceability standards are in place, upheld and embedded across our various supply chains.
