What’s possible?
Facilitating the compliance of import and export activities relating to the business in line with national and international regulations and controls is the challenge that awaits you here. As well as setting up a new compliance process and driving continuous improvement to existing import and export processes, we’ll look to you to assist with local and offshore compliance and regulatory matters to support our international logistics activities. Supporting system database maintenance and alignment such as HS codes, export control code, country of origin information will be important too, as will conduct ongoing compliance monitoring and operational checks.
Preparing compliance reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies, keeping abreast of regulatory changes and conducting in-depth investigations when required – these are just some aspects of this high-profile role.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with the review and implementation of a compliance framework
Initiating cost saving opportunities
Supporting the free trade agreement qualification process
Supervising the complaints handling and dispute resolution process
What you’ll need to bring
We’ll expect you to have a bachelor’s degree in international trade, business, law, or legal, an excellent understanding of risk management and compliance and experience of incident and breach reporting.
