Description:

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, in Human Resources.
  • Ability to read and interpret HR legislation and to work with the business to ensure compliance.
  • In-depth working knowledge of labour law and HR best practice.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant Human Resource experience.
  • Experience gained in the Mining industry is preferable.
  • Experience using HR Systems.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE

The GLT Human Resources Business Partner will support the HR Manager: Mining Solutions with the implementation of HR Strategies in the GLT business. The GLT HR Business Partner will partner with GLT Leadership on setting priorities, nurturing a positive working environment, driving the Draslovka culture and values, and delivering business results through the implementation of HR Information systems, and responding to people challenges.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

The HR Business Partner reports directly to the HR Manager: Mining Solutions and works within the designated region in the Mining and Process Solutions business. This role will have close relationship with the Global Head of GLT Operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • HR Policies:
  • Responsible for HR Employee Handbook and maintain updates.
  • Act as a consultant to managers and staff regarding policies and procedures.
  • Interpret HR legislation and ensure that policies and procedures are compliant.
  • Implement Group HR policies across the Global GLT Operations business.
  • Labour relations and labour law
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing grievances or other disciplinary issues.
  • Facilitate employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Talent Acquisition and onboarding
  • Manage the recruitment process by preparing role profiles, posting vacancy advertisements and managing the hiring process. This includes scheduling and attending interviews, conducting background checks and preparing offer letters.
  • Maintain and update offer templates for GLT Operations.
  • Create and implement effective Onboarding and Offboarding plans.
  • Ensure that all employees are organized and satisfied in their work environment and have the resources for optimal performance.
  • Learning and Development
  • Develop training programmes and performance management programmes that enable employee understanding of their job role and responsibilities.
  • Role Library
  • Ensure role profiles are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations.
  • HR Administration
  • Maintain employee records on BambooHR (role profiles, documents, attendance, Employee data etc.) according to business requirements, policy and legal requirements.
  • Perform check on candidates’ right to work at the organization (eligibility to work).
  • Performance Management
  • Drive and monitor performance management processes.
  • Payroll Administration
  • Update payroll with timesheet information.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Safety, Health and Environment Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety, Health, Environment and all other regulatory statutes, and all other safety and quality processes for the area of responsibility/work.
  • Financial Management
  • Monitor expenses ensuring expenditure is within approved budgets.
