Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Analyze U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) rules and regulations to report contractual guarantees, inventory (raw materials, finished goods, and accessories), quality of earnings, and Selling, General and Administrative (SG&A) expenses for GM North America (GMNA) regional results. Prepare internal accounting reporting packages for GMNA and senior leadership, and external accounting reporting packages for SEC, analyzing balance sheet, cash flow and income statement activities related to contractual guarantees, inventory (raw materials, finished goods, and accessories), and Selling, General and Administrative (SG&A). Consolidate and analyze all financial data in Global Consolidation Actual Results System for GMNA and report results to Finance senior leadership. Use SAP S4, eSAP and SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems to perform in depth analysis of significant movements in individual GMNA business units (Sales, Service and Marketing; OnStar Connectivity; Customer Care and Aftersales; Mexico Global Business Solutions; and Canada Controllership for reporting periods.

ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance, or related field, and one (1) year of experience as a Consolidations Analyst, Financial Analyst, Accountant, or related role. Must also have experience with: analyzing U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) rules and regulations to report inventory (raw materials, finished goods) and Selling, General and Administrative (SG&A) expenses, and consolidating and analyzing financial data and report results to leadership.
