Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer

I am looking for a GCP Data Engineer to join a Consultancy client of mine based in Leeds. This role is primarily for a financial services client, and the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on GKE and Google BigQuery
• Work closely with the client to understand their needs and requirements, and provide expert advice and guidance
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud solutions
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud technology, and provide recommendations for improvement to the client

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly GKE and Google BigQuery
• Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working in the financial services sector is a plus
