Description:
About the role
The Foundation continues to adopt a system-thinking approach as we invest in, create, and influence the conditions needed to end disadvantage in Australia.
We take a targeted approach to grant-making and, since 2016, have supported more than $1bn in grants and $140 m in Impact Investments with over 200 partners to create change together.
The Office of the CEO oversees implementation of PRF’s strategy and leads on cross-cutting areas, including systems change and government affairs. The Government Affairs role is key to collaboratively driving timely and impactful political influence, policy analysis and advice needed to stop disadvantage in Australia.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the CoS, Head of Systems Change and across PRF, to develop and execute a government and policy vision, agenda, and effective strategic and tactical campaigns to help achieve an equitable Australia.
- Drive change in key outcome areas via maximising exposure and impact with federal, state, and local governments.
- Hold responsibility for co-ordinating key collaborative reform agendas with consideration for evidence, politics, policy, legislative, regulatory and procurement implications.
- Lead relevant signature policy development initiatives and public policy programs aligned with PRF priorities.
- Provide strategic political and policy advice across PRF impact areas and as an advisor to the CEO and Executive Team.
- Foster existing relationships, build new alliances across sectors and represent the Foundation to maximise influence and impact.
- Co-ordinate production of responsive and timely policy submissions in relation to critical program areas.
- Drive and demonstrate a transformational improvement in engagement and impact in the Foundation’s government relations, communications, reputation, profile, and its focus on systems change.
- Demonstrate PRF core values of Connection, Curiosity and Courage.
