Responsibilities:

As a Government Affairs Lead, your role will be multifaceted. You will monitor the political development in the health care system and contribute to internal and external committee work and collaboration with the Corporate Affairs and Communications to increase external impact. Your insights will be crucial in developing and implementing national policy shaping strategies and plans to support R&I, CVRM, V&I and Oncology therapy areas. You build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, encouraging a positive and collaborative reputation for AstraZeneca. You will also act as an advisor on governmental affairs and activities, transferring your understanding from current public policy positions of various organisations and institutions to internal stakeholders.
In this role you will contribute to improving the framework the authorities and politicians have for the healthcare system, so that patients can gain faster access to new medicines. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to focus on barriers to access to medicines at system level, and which solutions can contribute to developing health services and the treatment offer. Here, among other things, Nye Metoder, Beslutningsforum, the hospitals and the Blåreseptordningen in Folketrygden will be relevant.
You play a pivotal role in project development activities, contributing to the successful deployment of transforming care projects. You will among other things focus on the importance of early diagnosis of patients. Faster access to treatment can slow down the development of the disease and its negative consequences, both for the patients, their relatives, and for the health service, which has an increased use of resources when diseases have more serious consequences over time.
