Description:

We are looking for full and part time practitioners on a permanent and salaried basis.
Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust seeks to appoint General Practitioner to our Urgent Treatment Centre. The post holder will be based at Tameside General Hospital. The candidate will be expected to have previous experience post full registration.
The post holder will deliver clinical care and work with the current UTC team, UTC Clinical Lead, Directorate Manager and Service Manager to deliver an effective service that provides, safe and high-quality care. The post/s are an excellent opportunity to join an Urgent Treatment Centre team which is in a stage of additional investment, and work within the healthcare system of a busy district general hospital.
The post/s are offered on a part time and full-time basis ranging from 6PA to 10PA. The successful applicant/s must have full registration with the GMC and continue to hold a license to practice. Applicants must also be on the GP Register or be within six months of obtaining their Certificate of Completion of Training.
We enjoy good relationships with the local primary care networks, as well as inpatient teams including Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) facility and Emergency Department.

Provide complete consultations with assessment, treatment, and management of patients of all ages presenting with urgent primary care problems at the UTC.
To be responsible for prioritisation and timeliness of all consultations.
To be flexible, responsive, resilient, and self-motivated and understand the needs of modern primary care ways-of-working to maximise effective and efficient care.
To be confident identifying patients who do not require treatment in the UTC and identifying those who require inpatient or more specialist treatment and referring them appropriately.
Promote integrated team-working and liaison with the Emergency Department to support referrals to specialities where appropriate, including community services.
