Description:

The Bending Spoons Grad Program is an exclusive, year-long growth opportunity designed to provide a captivating, impactful, and comprehensive formative experience. We don’t cut corners by forcing you into a prescribed syllabus here—instead, we design your program in tandem with you, in a way that resonates with your interests and skills. That means we could end up offering you one specific role that we think you’d be a great fit for—or we might suggest that you rotate across a couple of different areas. Either way, you’ll gain a truly personalized business education that will help you find your feet and prepare for a rich and flourishing career.

A few examples of your responsibilities

  • Study the market and competition intensely, and identify new strategies to help our products and brands reach ever-increasing heights.
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative information, perform data-intensive analyses, and create reliable models to evaluate promising business opportunities.
  • Take care of ad hoc tasks and projects related to the area you’re working on, contributing to the success of the team.
  • Suggest ways we can improve how we work, and propose new strategies and approaches to face our daily challenges.
  • Assume real responsibility from day one, absorb best practices, learn through hands-on experience, and receive coaching from your colleagues.
  • Embody the values that make Bending Spoons a role model in the tech industry, maintaining our pristine reputation and continually striving to elevate our global standing.

What we look for

  • Drive. Your dedication matches the intensity of your ambition. You’re willing to put in the hard work necessary to achieve your goals, and the highly demanding challenges in your track record are proof of your relentless spirit.
  • Logical-analytical abilities. You’re able to objectively evaluate complex information, arguments, and situations. You’re used to applying logical deduction to tackle sophisticated problems, and this has often allowed you to solve difficult intellectual challenges.
  • Curiosity and initiative. Rather than waiting to be told what to do, you’re forever hunting down new opportunities and testing fresh ideas. You’ve consistently and actively participated in independent projects, and you’re an endless source of innovative ideas.
  • Indisputable excellence. Your academic or professional career is marked by a series of remarkable accomplishments. You have habitually achieved superior outcomes in your chosen fields and are continually seeking ways to outperform the expectations set for you.
  • Proficiency in English. You read, write, and speak proficiently in English.

What we offer

  • An exceptional opportunity for growth. The majority of new Spooners didn’t expect to be trusted with so many responsibilities right from the start—and to be able to leverage them to explore the full extent of their potential. You’ll immediately start working in small, results-driven teams alongside some of the brightest people in your field. You’ll see Spooners in their 20s leading businesses worth hundreds of millions. And if you’ve got what it takes, you’ll soon be playing an essential role in major projects. We also do everything we can to offer a comprehensive spectrum of learning opportunities. Nothing but your drive, passion, and talent will determine how much and how fast you can grow.
  • All. These. Benefits. Flexible hours, unrestricted remote working from European timezones, unlimited backing for learning and training, top-of-the-market health insurance, a highly supportive relocation package, generous parental support, and yearly retreats to stunning locations. We encourage Spooners to use these benefits and many more to create the conditions to do their best work.
  • Competitive salary and stock options. Our compensation packages are designed to attract and retain the best talent in the industry. Individuals just starting their career are offered a salary of €52,246 along with a €1,200 welfare bonus. If you already have a few years of relevant work experience, you can expect to earn between €63,965 and €143,330, depending on your expertise. Compensation can grow rapidly as the individual accumulates experience and translates it into greater and greater impact. You also have the option to receive some of your pay in company ownership (equity) at a discounted rate. Also, Italy grants individuals willing to relocate a 50% tax exemption on Italian-sourced income.

Before you apply
Thanks for taking the time to read this far. We’d be delighted if you decide to apply, but ask that you first consider the following:
Bending Spoons is an extremely demanding environment. We’re highly ambitious and we ask a lot of ourselves and our teammates, so you’re likely to work harder here than at most companies, and to regularly push yourself beyond your comfort zone. While this tends to drive tremendous learning and lead to fantastic achievements, it can also be stressful.
We’re uncompromising on our standard of excellence. The vast majority of Spooners stay for years and have amazing careers here. However, it can also happen that an individual doesn’t contribute at the rate we look for. In such cases, we support the Spooner in their efforts to make the necessary improvements, but will counsel them to leave if they don’t manage to do so.
We’re proud of the company we’ve built, and many of us can’t imagine working anywhere else. Still, we understand that a career at Bending Spoons isn’t for everybody. We hope what you’ve read here helps you determine whether it might be the place for you. If you believe it is, then we encourage you to apply—and perhaps discover what you’re truly capable of!
The selection process
If you successfully pass through our screening process, we’ll invite you to take on a few tests that assess how you approach and solve unfamiliar problems. If you’re successful there, we’ll invite you to take part in some interviews. We welcome applications in English and Italian.Bending Spoons is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We consider for employment all applicants and we provide reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities, which can be requested at accommodations-ext@bendingspoons.com.Studies suggest that women tend not to apply for a job if their CV isn’t a perfect fit.
