Description:
YOUR PROFILE
- Education: An appropriate college or university degree (teaching subject specific) from an accredited higher education institute
- Certification: Up-to-date credentials required for the assigned teaching position. These credentials must be issued by a national or state certification board or its equivalent, and this credential must be recognized by the Bavarian Education Authorities
- Desired experience: A minimum of two years of comparable teaching experience in an international school or IB school

The Bavarian International School gAG (BIS) is an international all-day school consisting of a campus in the north of Munich (in Haimhausen) and a campus in Munich-Schwabing. Around 1,200 students from more than 60 nations between the ages of 3 and 18 attend the recognized IB World School including kindergarten. Under the motto “Believe. Inspire. Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons with clear objectives which are communicated explicitly to students, within a balanced programme of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities for inquiry
- Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment and establish and maintain respectful behaviour guidelines and procedures
- Evaluate and document students’ progress in a timely, accurate and complete manner in the currently agreed upon school digital platforms including preparing, delivering, marking and giving feedback on formative and summative assessments as per the requirements of the specific IB programme
- Prepare progress, interim and end of year reports and organise classroom supplies and resources
- Differentiate teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests and guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic problems, or special academic interests
- Confer with parents or guardians, pastoral leaders, mentors, other teachers, counsellors, learning support and leadership to resolve students’ behavioural and academic problems
- Attend parent-teacher meetings and conferences and maintain ongoing contact with parents as needed with regard to academic and behavioural concerns and where praise is due
