We are looking for a driven Graduate Assistant Accountant to join the Class Finance team. Working within the Finance function, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business, including the consulting, stamping, and growth teams, as well as external stakeholders such as clients, auditors, and suppliers.
Your main responsibilities will include meticulously handling extensive financial transactions, conducting reconciliations for month-end and year-end reports, responding to client inquiries, and delivering precise and timely support to both internal and external stakeholders.
The role can be located in the Gold Coast or Sydney.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting, majoring in accounting
  • Commenced or looking to commence CA/CPA qualification
  • 6-12 months work experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role.
  • Experience in MS suite (Excel, MS word, Sharepoint)
  • Experience in accounting platform (Xero, Netsuite)would be beneficial but not essential
  • Self-motivated enthusiastic team member
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team player that can work autonomously
  • Proactive and keen to add value and asks questions

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Management of trade debtors, including monthly reporting and reconciliation
  • Processing refunds, credit notes, and amendments to payment details
  • Month-end reconciliations and preparation of workpapers
  • Posting journals for approval as part of month-end and year-end preparations
  • Processing transfers of funds and ASIC/stamping transactions
  • Assistance with year-end accounts preparation and audit queries
  • Preparation of invoices for partner revenue and manual consolidated invoices
  • Client onboarding, terminations, upgrades, downgrades, and novations.
  • Accounts receivable management
