GRADUATE CIVIL ENGINEER (EIT) – TRANSPORTATION – CORPUS CHRISTI, TX

Halff is seeking a graduate engineer in Corpus Christi, TX. The Corpus Christi team is looking for a motivated professional looking to grow their career with Halff while supporting Transportation design activities and teams. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work directly under Professional Engineers while developing skills in transportation related design and PS&E tasks.
Applicants should have CADD experience and should be knowledgeable of transportation design engineering principles and practices. Experience with OpenRoads Designer is a bonus. Candidates should demonstrate initiative and eagerness to learn and develop.

Graduate Civil Engineer Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Works under a licensed Professional Engineer in the development of roadway plan production and 3D modeling
  • Creates detailed plan production in support of development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (P,S,&E)
  • Performs engineering-related computations and calculations

GRADUATE CIVIL ENGINEER EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • EIT in the State of TX, or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Knowledgeable of transportation engineering terminology and fundamentals
  • Experience with Microstation, GeoPak, OpenRoads Designer or other related software is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success.

Responsibilities:
