REQUIREMENTS:

  • Recently graduated with an engineering degree in Civil, Material Science, Mechanical or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
  • Computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a recent graduate to join our Defence Solutions team as a graduate engineer based out of our office in Osborne, SA. You will have the opportunity to work on some exciting projects that are crucial to maintaining our nation’s defense assets. You will also receive mentoring and training from our experienced engineers and project managers, who will help you develop your skills and grow your career.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate project elements including QA/QC, logistics, reporting, compliance, subcontractor management, equipment control, and supplies.
  • Support project management through administrative tasks such as managing project briefs, schedules, action logs, budgets, and performance monitoring.

Documentation & Planning:

  • Prepare project documentation including project plans, Gantt charts, and specifications for minor projects.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality requirements and align with best practices and company standards.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Assist with risk analysis and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Undertake job safety analysis for unfamiliar or non-routine work processes.
  • Prepare cost estimates and specifications to support procurement processes.

Project Performance:

  • Contribute to achieving key project performance baselines and objectives.
  • Establish and monitor project controls to ensure delivery within quality, time, and cost constraints.
  • Take corrective actions when necessary and report to the Manager.
